Earth Stewards
The Earth Stewards meet to discuss and learn more about taking care of the planet God has entrusted to us. We discuss current events, inform folks about upcoming webinars and local events, and write about our call to stewardship in our Around Aldersgate newsletter. There are times we invite outside experts to inform us of things we need to learn about. The group also has members with experience in varied arenas of earth stewardship, allowing us to tap into that knowledge. We are learning how to stop hurting the earth and how to engage in more sustainable practices.
This is an informal group that meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 PM via Zoom. We would love to have you join us! Please let Larry Ruth, Kari Beckenhauer or the church office know you’d like to attend, and you will be included in an email notice with the Zoom link. You may also find the scheduled meetings and Zoom link on the Announcements in Around Aldersgate and with our weekly church service bulletin. Meetings are scheduled for an hour but sometimes we can run a bit over to get things wrapped up.
Our Aldersgate Gardens and Earth Stewards demonstrate a deep congregational commitment to a healthy earth and its future.
